Weaning Experts

Meet our partners

We believe weaning is as much about the experience as it is about the food. That’s why we’re proud to work with experts who share our passion for helping families explore food with confidence - from sensory feeding specialists to trusted voices on common weaning worries.

As a female-founded business, we’re also proud to be part of Buy Women Built, celebrating women building brilliant businesses and helping the next generation of girls see what’s possible.

Let us introduce you!

Jo Kellam, Nutritionist and Sensory Food Specialist

Jo is a Public Health Nutritionist and sensory food specialist, dedicated to helping children build positive relationships with food.

She created the award‑winning How to Feed a Dragon programme - an eight‑week sensory food play course designed for children with limited diets - and has supported families and professionals from various settings to nurture positive mealtimes.

Her background spans NHS childhood obesity services, school meal improvement, and community nutrition. She is also the author of The Children's Book of Healthy Eating, supporting parents with young readers to explore and understand food and nutrition.

Her work blends evidence‑based nutrition with playful, sensory‑led
approaches, helping more families to connect through food.

Dr. Gill Rapley

Dr. Gill Rapley is the pioneer of baby-led weaning and co-author of Baby-Led Weaning: Helping Your Baby to Love Good Food. Her work has helped countless parents feel confident about letting their babies explore food and learn to feed themselves.

Thanks to Gill’s pioneering work, and the professionals and parents who have championed it since, baby-led weaning is now a familiar and widely embraced way to introduce babies to solid foods.

Gill has cheered Tidy Tot on from day one, sharing invaluable advice and feedback along the way. We’re so pleased to have her support!

“The Bib & Tray Kit is a really innovative idea for containing the inevitable mess that happens when babies feed themselves. I defy any baby wearing the Tidy Tot to sweep food onto the floor or get it down inside their highchair!”

Chelsea Ridge & Savannah Senior

Chelsea and Savannah are paediatric Speech and Language Therapists who together founded Little Beginnings Hub, an online platform offering evidence-based, expert-led courses in early childhood development for parents and professionals.

Alongside this, Chelsea runs her own independent practice, Eat Chat Play, and Savannah runs hers, Learn to Feed. Together they bring a specialist feeding and swallowing lens to weaning, with extensive experience supporting babies and children with complex presentations including paediatric dysphagia, prematurity, tube feeding and weaning off tube feeds, oral aversion, sensory feeding difficulties, and additional needs such as autism, Down syndrome and genetic conditions. Both are trained in the SOS Approach to Feeding and SOFFI.

Sarah Almond Bushell, The Children’s Nutritionist

Sarah has been a dietitian for 22 years in the NHS as a Consultant and running The Children’s Nutritionist.

She helps families with feeding, food allergies, constipation, weight, diabetes pretty much anything where food is treatment. She has two degrees, a post-grad diploma in Nutrition & Dietetics and also trained as an SOS feeding therapist to help problem feeders get better.

Buy Women Built

Tidy Tot is proudly female founded and flying the flag for female entrepreneurship.  Astonishingly, a 2019 survey revealed that 81% of 11-18 year olds are unable to name a single female entrepreneur. We are proud to be part of the Buy Women Built community who are on a mission to change this - shining a light on brands founded by women and making it easier for people to support them.

Born from the simple idea that everyday purchasing decisions can help to drive change, they seek to increase the visibility of women-built brands to create a stronger, fairer economy while inspiring the next generation of female entrepreneurs.

If you can see it, you can be it.
